• We understand the unique needs of those transitioning from an acute medical facility to home.
• The occupational therapist is responsible for helping residents with physical, mental, or emotional disabilities to develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' abilities and develop treatment plans to help them improve or maintain their daily living and work skills
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as dressing, grooming, and eating
• Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment, such as wheelchairs, prosthetics, and orthotics
• Develop and implement therapeutic activities to improve patients' physical, mental, and emotional well-being
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care to patients
• Document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Provide education and support to patients and their families

Qualifications

• Master's degree in occupational therapy
• State licensure as an occupational therapist
