Candidates must possess a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent from an AVMA accredited college and hold an active state license or be pursuing one. Willingness to obtain a current DEA license and a commitment to veterinary excellence are also required.

Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent degree from an AVMA accredited college or university.
Active state license in good standing, or currently pursuing licensure.
Current DEA license in good standing, or willing to obtain.
