The Speech Pathologist/Therapist functions under the supervision of the Supervisor of Physical Medicine, assuming accountability for designated patients. Responsibilities include providing speech and language evaluations and treatments according to established policies and procedures to maintain high-quality patient care.
Candidates must possess a minimum of a Master’s level SLP/CF and hold current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Essential physical requirements include the ability to read and write in English, communicate effectively, and manage physical demands such as lifting up to 100 pounds and prolonged walking/standing.
Functions under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Physical Medicine. Assumes the responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients and provides speech and language evaluations and treatments in accordance with established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, maintaining the highest degree of quality patient care. The speech pathologist/therapist may also be assigned to orient staff and students. They may also assume the duties and responsibility of the supervisor in the absence of that individual.
