The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care including clinical procedures and vital signs for diverse patient populations. They also manage daily clinic operations, supply inventory, and support medical providers with documentation.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, completion of a Medical Assistant program, and an active BLS CPR certification. Experience with underserved populations and bilingual skills in English and Spanish are strongly preferred.
Are you passionate about providing compassionate care to underserved populations? Health Care for the Homeless is seeking a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA) to support pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric clients in our medical clinic.
As a vital member of our integrated care team, the CMA provides direct patient care and supports daily clinic operations. From taking vital signs and administering treatments to coordinating supplies and supporting medical procedures, you will help deliver high-quality, equitable health care.
✔ High school diploma or GED and completion of a Medical Assistant Program ✔ Certified or registered Medical Assistant preferred (AAMA or equivalent) ✔ Active BLS CPR certification (required) ✔ One year of experience in a medical office (preferred) ✔ Experience with underserved or homeless populations strongly preferred ✔ Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills ✔ Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred
