The SOAR Housing Advocate provides housing support and advocacy to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, coordinating stability activities, making referrals, developing housing plans, and delivering tenancy education. This role also involves assisting with grant monitoring, completing reports for the SOAR Housing First program, and conducting intake assessments for new clients.
A Bachelor’s degree is required, along with two years of experience connecting individuals to essential services like healthcare, mental health, and addiction services, plus one year of experience completing intake assessments. Candidates must possess a personal vehicle, valid Maryland driver's license, and knowledge of Baltimore City community resources, while adopting Harm Reduction and Housing First principles.

The SOAR Housing Advocate provides housing-related support and advocacy to individuals and families impacted by homelessness. The Specialist coordinates housing stability activities, provides referrals to needed community resources, develops housing plans, and delivers tenancy-based education that promotes housing retention. The Specialist also assists with grant monitoring and completes reports for the SOAR Housing First program.
