As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at our Newport News, VA location, you will be responsible for delivering quality nursing care through direct patient interaction to ensure medical needs are met. Working collaboratively with the treatment team, you will help maintain a consistent, therapeutic environment that promotes safety and long-term recovery. This role plays a direct part in supporting patients through detoxification and treatment in a recovery-focused setting.

Requirements

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Virginia
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in substance use disorder treatment and/or mental health care
• Prior experience with chemical addiction and/or mental health conditions, including psychopharmacology
• Current CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification
• Ability to triage and assist with medical emergencies under RN supervision

Responsibilities

• Administer scheduled and PRN medications, including subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, under RN supervision
• Administer and read PPD tests
• Monitor patient self-administration of medications
• Maintain the functionality, organization, and proper storage of the medication room
• Assist with processing physician orders, lab work, and progress notes
• Receive and document verbal and telephone orders from physicians and mid-level providers
