The Licensed Practical Nurse provides nursing care to residents by utilizing the nursing process based on RN assessments, administering care, and educating residents and families. Responsibilities include working with the interdisciplinary team, accurate documentation of care and medication, supervising unlicensed staff, and assuming charge nurse duties when an RN is absent.
Candidates must hold an LPN License for Minnesota and maintain 12 Continuing Education Credits every two years, along with current CPR Certification. Essential technical skills include basic computer proficiency, knowledge of Word, and familiarity with patient information databases like Cerner, EMR, or Matrixcare.

Provides and exercises nursing judgment in the care of residents through the nursing process utilizing knowledge obtained from the RN assessment of the resident. This is a professional role and one must conduct self in a professional and respectful manner while administering nursing care and education to the resident and family members, interacting with interdisciplinary healthcare team members and with the community.
12 Continuing Education Credits/2 years. CPR Certification. LPN License - MN. Basic computer skills. Word. Patient information database (Cerner, EMR, Matrixcare).
Caregiver experience preferred.
