This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients before, during, and after complex procedures such as electrophysiology, structural heart interventions, lead extractions, and device implantations. Responsibilities include circulating, assisting during cases, maintaining sterility, recording data, and supporting Radiologic Technologists.
Candidates must possess an Associate's Degree in Nursing and be licensed in Michigan, along with current BLS and ACLS certifications required within one month of hire. Preferred qualifications include at least two years of critical care nursing experience and one year of experience in an electrophysiology lab.
This position cares for patients before, during and after an electrophysiology procedure. This position cares for Structural heart (including Watchman), Lead extractions, ablations, Vascular and EP pacemaker / device patients. This includes pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, documentation of procedural process, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, mapping, post-procedure care and patient education.
