The Physician Assistant provides surgical assistance in open heart procedures and manages patient care from admission through discharge. Responsibilities include performing physical exams, writing medical orders, and coordinating with the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree from an ARC-PA accredited program and a current New York State PA license. Required certifications include NCCPA and BLS.
Performs a variety of functions and technical procedures necessary for patient admission, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and outcome evaluation. Participates in performance improvement, research, and educational activities.
Our physician assistant role will perform a variety of functions and technical procedures to include but not limited to: First and second assist in open heart surgery, endoscopic vein/radial artery harvest.
