The position involves reviewing inpatient medical records to ensure complete and accurate clinical documentation. This requires excellent communication skills to query physicians, residents, fellows, and APPs to clarify documentation within the patient record.
Candidates must possess a current NJ Registered Nurse license and strong communication skills for interacting with medical and hospital staff. Previous CDI experience is strongly preferred, along with a minimum of 5 years of Nursing experience in Med Surg or Critical Care, and familiarity with DRG, ICD-10, and coding backgrounds.
Position would entail the review of inpatient medical records to promote complete and accurate clinical documentation. Would require excellent skills in direct communication or via CDI query with physicians, residents, fellows, and APP’s to clarify medical documentation in the patient record. Would also work closely with coding staff. Will need to become proficient in use of the Meditech EMR along with 3M CDIS programming.
Previous CDI experience strongly preferred. Minimum of 5 Years Nursing experience in Med Surg or Critical Care, DRG, ICD-10 and coding background, proficient with 3M Coding Software.
Preferred: Bachelors in Nursing
License and Credentials
Preferred: CDI Certification, Current NJ Registered Nurse license

The minimum starting rate for this position is $40.67
