The optometrist will conduct comprehensive eye exams, establish long-term patient relationships through proper care and education, and advise patients on options for ametropias, systemic/ocular diseases, and visual needs. They must also generate patient loyalty and clearly communicate lens recommendations to sales staff.
Candidates must possess a Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution and must have successfully passed all state optometric board examinations. The role requires the ability to perform physical tasks like communicating, exchanging information, utilizing necessary equipment, and moving about the office.
