This role is responsible for leading the facility’s Infection Prevention and Control Program, which includes surveillance, trend tracking, and staff education according to CMS regulations. The nurse will also support the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program, assisting with audits and collaborating on resident safety initiatives.
Candidates must possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Dakota. Experience in long-term care and training or willingness to obtain infection prevention certification are preferred qualifications for this position.
Western Horizon Living Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for our 40-bed skilled nursing facility. This leadership role supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily clinical operations while also functioning as the facility’s Infection Preventionist and Quality Nurse.
The ADON plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include supervision of nursing staff, coordination of the Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP), and leadership within the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program in accordance with CMS and state regulations (42 CFR §483).
