The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for processing requests for medical record information while ensuring confidentiality, and assisting the department with various clerical functions to ensure smooth daily operations. This includes organizing and filing patient charts, preparing charts for discharge, setting up records for new admissions, and facilitating document completion.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of one year of clerical experience, preferably within a medical or healthcare setting. Essential qualifications include strong interpersonal and organizational skills, basic computer proficiency, and familiarity with psychiatric and addictive disease diagnosis terminology.
