The role involves working with severely chronically mentally ill individuals through aggressive intervention, frequent in-person contacts, and crisis management. Major duties include monitoring medication needs and coordinating services outlined in the individual's treatment plan with an interdisciplinary team.
Candidates must possess a current Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse license along with one year of full-time experience in social, behavioral, or human services. Essential abilities include effective communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and timely electronic documentation, alongside current CPR certification and a Texas Driver's License.
The nature of work requires working with severe chronically mentally ill individuals through aggressive intervention, frequent in person contacts, crisis intervention, long-term contact with individuals, families and service providers. Major responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, monitoring individuals' medication related needs, working with an interdisciplinary team consisting of psychiatrists, community-based providers, and center staff to provide services outlines in the individual's treatment plan and providing coordination of clients' needs as necessary. The Centers Nurses are eligible for 2% annual salary increases after years 1 through 3, year 6, year 8, and 3% after year 10.
$22.60 to $24.52
Position requires a current Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse, plus one year full-time experience in social, behavioral or human services. Skills to problem solve and assess individual needs. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff, and the ability to work effectively, as a team member in a fast-paced work setting. Ability to plan, implement and prioritize assignments. Ability to document electronically, accurately and timely. Requires current CPR certification and current Texas Driver's License.
Prefer bilingual skills to include English/Spanish.
