A medical assistant functions under the direction of licensed practitioners, assisting in coordinating all aspects of patient care within the Urgent Care setting. This role involves direct patient support and administrative tasks under supervision.
Candidates must be a graduate of a Medical Assistant Program, or have recently completed one year of a formal RN program. Required certifications include a current BLS card from the American Heart Association, and preferred experience is in an urgent care environment.
A medical assistant functions under the direction, guidance, and supervision of a licensed physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or RN. A medical assistant assists in coordinating all aspects of the care received in the Urgent Care setting.
Education: Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program. In lieu of a Medical Assistant course, recent completion of one year formal RN program.
