CONSULTANTS IN GASTROENTEROLOGY

The Clinical Nurse will communicate effectively with patients and physicians, document patient interactions, and perform various nursing duties. They will also ensure patient care quality and maintain compliance with regulations.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, be a graduate from an accredited nursing school, and hold an active nursing license in South Carolina. CPR certification and strong ethical references are also required.
Cooperative work attitude toward employees, management, patients, visitors, and physicians. Ability to make logical decisions and solve problems. Ability to perform any nursing duty asked. Extensive knowledge of nursing techniques. Clear and proficient communication skills. Pass security check.

Discusses lab/x-ray results with patients and provides necessary instructions under the direction of their physician. Reviews charts daily for next-day appointments for completion. Schedules procedures, tests, and appointments as instructed by the physician and documented. Documents patient phone calls and prescription refills. Performs capsule endoscopy. Performs duties of a medical assistant in their absence. Ensures recalls are kept current. Verifies pathology reports are received from hospitals for all inpatient and outpatient procedures. III.
