Job description
Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for a Speech Language Therapist to join the acute care team.
This position is PRN, working 2 weekend shifts a month, and 1 major/1 minor holiday a year and has the opportunity to work additional hours.

Speech Pathologist PRN Job Responsibilities
The Speech Pathologist PRN demonstrates advanced clinical expertise in patient evaluation treatment and documentation. Functions with the knowledge and skill of an advanced clinician who is sought out by others for advice and guidance. Communicates effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors and outside contacts. Provides administrative leadership within department/program, facility and/or community. Provides clinical mentoring and operational guidance, education and/or supervision to new or less experienced staff, students and support personnel. Acts as approachable, tactful mentor in all situations. Completes all administrative and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit. May perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum
Requirements:
Education: Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Sciences Disorders accredited by ASHA.
Experience
New Graduate Speech Language pathologist eligible for clinical fellowship.
Certification
BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start.
Licensure
VA Speech Language Pathologist License required upon start or Provisional VA license accepted if candidate is being considered for Clinical fellowship. (Must be eligible for full active VA licensure upon completion of CFY.)
