The Pediatric Adolescent Medicine Physician provides comprehensive, developmentally appropriate primary and specialty care to adolescents and young adults. This includes preventive services, acute and chronic illness management, reproductive health care, behavioral health support, and guidance on healthy development and lifestyle. The physician works as part of a multidisciplinary team to promote physical, emotional, and social well-being during the transition from childhood to adulthood. Qualifications M.D. or D.O. degree. Successful completion of a residency in Adolescent Medicine or completion of a residency in Pediatrics followed by a fellowship in Adolescent Medicine Current medical license in each state of practice. State Controlled Substance License (if required by State) Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances in each state of practice. Board Certified in Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics or equivalent (American Osteopathic Board, Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada). If physician is not board certified upon commencement of employment, they must achieve board certification as outlined in the privileging documents.
