A Direct Support Professional (DSP) caregiver provides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. The role involves ensuring the comfort, safety, and personal growth of individuals by assisting with daily living tasks such as moving, dressing, bathing, and toileting.
Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years of age and possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Essential qualities include being person-centered, patient, kind, dependable, adaptable, observant, detail-oriented, and possessing good communication and computer skills for documentation.
