The technologist performs services according to accepted standards of practice, focusing on patient care under the direction of management and in association with radiologists. A key responsibility is demonstrating expertise in minimizing radiation exposure to the patient, self, and other team members.
Candidates must have completed post-high school special training and graduated from an accredited school of Radiology. Required credentials include a State of Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist license, ARRT certification, and BLS certification.
Under the direction of the Manager and Supervisor and in association with the radiologists, the technologist conducts themselves in a professional manner, responding to patient needs and supporting their colleagues and associates in providing quality patient care. The technologist performs services in accordance to an accepted standard of practice and demonstrates expertise in minimizing radiation exposure to the patient, self and other members of the health care team.
