The Medical Assistant supports patients and their families before, during, and after visits by working alongside clinical personnel to ensure smooth clinic operations. Key duties include rooming patients, taking vitals, preparing rooms, performing office-based testing, and coordinating patient care elements like referrals and scheduling.
Candidates should ideally possess 1 to 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, though this is preferred, and must have a High School Diploma or GED along with a Medical Assistant degree or successful examination pass. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, and bilingual proficiency is strongly preferred.
