The Program Assistant is responsible for providing supervision and care in the residential area, including observing and documenting patient behavior and assisting with daily living activities. They also implement treatment plans and ensure patient safety while maintaining confidentiality.
Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for experience in a Residential Behavioral Rehabilitation Program or with the disabled population. CPR and first aid certifications are required, along with a valid driver's license.
The ability to work well with other people. Able to stimulate and motivate persons served with problems in motivation. Knowledge of social customs and responsibilities. Ability to demonstrate flexibility, innovation, and good judgment. Ability to receive and follow instructions accurately. Knowledge of philosophical and ethical considerations in rehabilitation practice. Hold current CPR and first aid certifications. Ability to communicate accurate and pertinent information through documentations. Ability to execute emergency procedures. Ability to work rotating shifts. Ability to assist patients with transfer in a wheelchair. Certified in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) Current/valid Driver's license.
High-School Diploma or equivalent. College background helpful; Behavioral Science B.A. preferred. Psychology courses helpful.
