The Therapeutic Assistant provides 24-hour supervision and documentation of client activities in the residential area, including observing behavior, acting as a role model, and assisting clients with daily living activities. Major duties involve implementing therapeutic activities and behavior management programs, assisting therapy staff, and ensuring client safety while maintaining organizational policies.
Candidates must be able to work well with others, motivate individuals with motivation issues, and demonstrate flexibility and good judgment while accurately following instructions. Required qualifications include current CPR and First Aid certifications, a valid Driver's License, and certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI).
The ability to work well with other people. Able to stimulate and motivate persons served with problems in motivation. Knowledge of social customs and responsibilities. Ability to demonstrate flexibility, innovation, and good judgment. Ability to receive and follow instructions accurately. Knowledge of philosophical and ethical considerations in rehabilitation practice. Hold current CPR and first aid certifications. Ability to communicate accurate and pertinent information through documentations. Ability to execute emergency procedures. Ability to work rotating shifts. Ability to assist patients with transfer in a wheelchair. Certified in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) Current/valid Driver's license.
High-School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
