The Certified Medication Aide will prepare, administer, and document prescribed medications per protocol. They will also observe and report any reactions or side effects to the charge nurse and assist with daily care tasks.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with successful completion of a State Approved Medication Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program. One year of previous health care experience is preferred, and knowledge of Universal Precautions is required.
