The Assessment Specialist conducts initial clinical evaluations and assessments to determine the appropriate level of care, making recommendations and referrals based on established procedures. This role involves close collaboration with internal and external clinical teams to finalize required client documentation and ensure a successful transition to the designated care level.
A Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as medicine, psychology, or social work is required, along with two years of clinical experience, including one year working directly with chemically dependent or dually-diagnosed clients. Candidates must also meet full qualifications as an addictions counselor and possess a background in intake and assessment, preferably with experience in psychiatric emergencies.
