The Respiratory Therapist will assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders by initiating and conducting therapeutic procedures and maintaining accurate patient records. Essential functions include demonstrating competency in respiratory therapeutics, operating specialized equipment like ventilators, and performing quality control on blood gas analyzers.
Candidates must possess an Associate of Science in Respiratory Care or Cardiopulmonary Sciences and maintain licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Florida, along with current BLS certification. Experience is not explicitly required, but advanced floor or entry Critical Care training is expected.
Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders. Initiate and conduct therapeutic procedures; maintain patient records; and select, assemble, check, and operate equipment.
