The Certified Medical Assistant performs patient-oriented procedures while working under the direct supervision of a physician. Additionally, the CMA is responsible for clerical duties as necessary to maintain departmental operations and efficiency.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and required CMA certification from an accredited program, with BLS/CPR certification being preferred. Essential qualifications include a strong focus on patient comfort, strict confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, and strong communication abilities.
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides clinical support under physician supervision. The role delivers direct and indirect patient care, applies established clinical principles and professional standards, and supports the efficient operation of the practice through both clinical and clerical duties as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: If candidate is a CMA: High school diploma or equivalent, required Graduation certificate from an accredited Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) program, required Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification, required Prior CMA experience, preferred CPR certification, preferred If candidate is an LPN: Graduation certificate from an accredited nursing (LPN) program, required Current state licensure, required Prior LPN experience, preferred CPR certification, preferred
