The Certified Hospital Technician is responsible for assisting licensed nursing personnel in providing nursing care as part of an interprofessional healthcare team. This role also involves assisting with clerical functions, housekeeping duties, and patient transportation throughout the hospital.
Candidates must possess a current CNA certificate in Oregon, or a CNA certificate or NAR license in Washington (with a requirement to obtain CNA within 120 days if NAR licensed). A requirement for performing phlebotomy tasks in Washington is holding a Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist certification, and AHA BLS for Health Care Provider certification is mandatory.
Responsible for assisting licensed nursing personnel in the provision of nursing care. Participates as a member of the health care team under the direction of a licensed nurse as defined by Standards and Authorized Duties for Certified Nursing Assistants (OAR 851-63-0010 - 0060, 0080, 0090) or Nursing Assistants (WAC 246-841-400, 405). Also assists with clerical functions, housekeeping, and patient transportation throughout the hospital.
Skills/Abilities: Basic familiarity with computers preferred. Licensure Oregon: Current CNA certificate required.
