The Medical Assistant provides direct and/or telephone care to patients and coordinates with the care team to ensure seamless delivery and active patient participation in planning. This role involves assisting the physician or other provider with clinical procedures and demonstrating clinical competence in the established area of practice.
Candidates must demonstrate clinical competence in patient care, assist providers with procedures, and perform authorized clinical duties within their scope of practice. Required qualifications include current Nationally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification or the ability to obtain it within one year, plus at least one year of clinical experience in a medical office, clinic, or hospital setting.
