Responsibilities

• This opportunity is full-time at 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient day shift schedule.

• To learn more visit Welcome to Wellington Regional Medical Center | Wellington, FL Job Requirements: Assumes responsibility and accountability for providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of performance components affecting functioning and to provide goal-oriented treatment to facilitate maximum level of independence to clients suffering from disability, disease or injury.
• The physical therapist organizes, conducts, and elevates medically prescribed physical therapy programs to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of a body part; helps patient’s reach his/her maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within his/her capabilities.
• Directs and supervises physical therapist assistants, and students.
• Recognizes the signs and symptoms of stroke and calling a stroke alert overhead.
• Verbalizes stroke alert process.
• Consults and assessments/reassessments will be performed and documented within 24 hours of admission or when feasible once patient is medically stable.
• Maintains currency in stroke knowledge by completing the annual 4 hours online training.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited physical therapy program, having earned a Bachelor of Science Degree or Master's Degree in physical therapy or Certified from approved Physical Therapy Program after having previously completed a Bachelor of Science in a related field.
• Must be licensed in the state of Florida.
