The physical therapist assumes responsibility for comprehensive evaluation and goal-oriented treatment to maximize client independence following disability, disease, or injury. This role involves organizing and conducting medically prescribed physical therapy programs while directing and supervising physical therapist assistants and students.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited physical therapy program, holding a Bachelor of Science or Master's Degree in physical therapy, or certified from an approved program after completing a related Bachelor of Science. Applicants are required to be licensed in the state of Florida and must possess current BLS certification from the AHA.
