This role involves performing routine and special patient care procedures for both stable and critically ill patients in the Emergency Department, working directly under the supervision of a clinical nurse. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, transporting patients, and maintaining the cleanliness and stocking of patient care supply areas.
A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with current Basic Life Support (AHA) certification, and knowledge of routine patient care procedures and infection control. EMT or PCA certification is preferred, as is some prior patient care experience in a hospital setting.
