The Occupational Therapy Assistant provides direct therapy to patients according to the Occupational Therapist's plan of care, monitors and documents patient progress, and collaborates on discharge plans. This role also involves contributing to case management and maintaining positive interactions with patients and staff.
The primary requirement is to be a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) capable of providing skilled care under the supervision of a registered occupational therapist. The assistant must adhere to applicable state regulations concerning occupational therapy.
