The Physical Therapist will provide therapy services to inpatients and outpatients at OSF Rehabilitation, specializing in areas such as orthopedics, neurology, balance, and concussion management. This role involves evaluating patients' physical and functional status, establishing therapy goals, formulating treatment plans, and documenting patient status in a collaborative, evidence-based practice environment.
A Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy is required, unless licensed prior to 2016. Candidates must possess the respective state license in Physical Therapy or be scheduled to test within 60 days of eligibility and pass the exam within one year of hire, along with CPR certification within 90 days of hire. Preferred qualifications include previous Physical Therapist experience and a valid state driver's license, alongside strong analytical and communication abilities.
OSF Rehabilitation at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Group is a hospital-based department that provides therapy services to inpatients and outpatients. This team consists of a fun and diverse group! We have therapists and assistants who specialize in a variety of areas including but not limited to: aquatic therapy, orthopedics, pediatrics, LSVT Big (Parkinson’s disease) and other neurological diagnoses, vestibular problems, balance, and concussion management. Our occupational therapists enjoy seeing patients with orthopedic diagnosis from the shoulder to the hand, neurological diagnosis, lymphedema, pelvic floor dysfunction, and pediatric patients who may have sensory dysfunction, feeding and eating issues and developmental delay. A clinic focused on evidence-based practice, teamwork and collaboration creates a positive environment for both patients and co-workers. Experience: Previous experience as a Physical Therapist Licensure/ Certification: Valid state driver’s license, as verified through the respective state Department of Motor vehicles driving record abstract. Other Skills/ Knowledge: Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the population served. Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills work well with others and to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other treatment team members when gathering and exchanging patient condition information. Analytical ability to evaluate patients' physical and functional status, establish therapy goals, formulate treatment plans consistent with goals, observe patients and document status, and assist techs and assistants in resolving problems.
