The Limited Diagnostic Radiographer Care Guide manages the patient experience from registration through discharge, including collecting payments, rooming patients, assisting the provider, and performing x-rays within scope. This role involves acting as a patient advocate, maximizing clinical excellence, and supporting both front and back-office duties in an outpatient clinic setting.
Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, one year of healthcare experience, Limited Scope Testing Certification provided by ARRT, and American Heart Association BLS certification. Preferred qualifications include experience as a medical office assistant or CNA, knowledge of urgent care, medical terminology, and Epic.

The Limited Diagnostic Radiographer Care Guide is responsible for patient registration, collecting payments, rooming, assisting the provider with care and treatment, preparing patients for radiologic procedures, performing x-rays within their scope, discharging, and following up with patients. It is a role of the Care Guide to companion patients and their secondary guests through the entire experience to maximize clinical excellence, reduce treatment times, and maximize patient experience; before, during, and after the patient visit. The Care Guide is responsible for assisting the provider with front office and back-office duties in the outpatient management of patients on a rotating basis. This position is a vital part of the office team that cares for patients in the clinic setting, working closely with the provider and other clinical staff. Acting as the patient advocate, the Care Guide has continuous contact with providers, patients, patient families' significant others, community agencies, and patient care staff and management. This position requires floating to various facilities.
