The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care, including well-child visits and preventive services, to pediatric patients in community settings using a mobile clinic. Key duties involve diagnosing and managing conditions, administering screenings, educating families, and coordinating care transitions with community resources.
Candidates must possess a Master of Nursing Degree and be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing. Required experience includes at least one year as an NP in pediatric clinical environments, preferably with underserved populations, along with specific California licensure and national certifications.
Provide comprehensive primary care to pediatric patients in community settings via a mobile clinic, including well-child visits and preventive services. Conduct thorough histories, physical exams, and assessments; develop individualized care plans. Diagnose/manage acute and chronic conditions; perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Administer immunizations, screenings, and point-of-care testing; interpret results and follow up. Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease prevention, tailored to their needs. Collaborate with healthcare team and community partners for coordinated, high-quality care. Facilitate referrals and coordinate with FQHCs, specialty care, and community resources. Serve as onsite clinical lead, supervising staff and ensuring efficient mobile clinic operations. Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records. Support and mentor clinical staff and students; contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Participate in community outreach and health education events. Maintain clinical knowledge through continuing education and uphold Cedars-Sinai standards. Ensure a safe and inclusive care environment for underserved and diverse populations. Operate in field settings, including mobile and pop-up clinics.
