Completes clinical and administrative processes and documentation in compliance with Medicaid, insurance, Joint Commission, program, and departmental policies and procedures. Complies with all legal and professional standards and/or guidelines, such as mandatory reporting, maintenance of professional licensure in accordance with state licensing boards, and ensuring compliance with best practices through continuing education and clinical supervision. Works with administrative support and utilization management staff as needed to facilitate scheduling, prior and continuing review authorization of services, and transfer/referral of clients to other programs or providers as needed. Participates in regularly scheduled and as-needed departmental and program staff meetings, training, and supervision. Participates in continuing education activities as required to maintain professional licensure and/or certification. Performs other duties as assigned, which may include phone calls with patients or insurance companies, writing letters to patients on behalf of the Medical Director(s) or other clinical staff, and assisting in the discharge process of patients.
