The APP will provide assessment, triage, and therapeutic management for patient/family needs throughout the disease process as part of an interdisciplinary team, working collaboratively with supervising physicians. Responsibilities include obtaining histories, performing exams, ordering tests, prescribing chemotherapy, formulating treatment plans, and educating patients and families on care and resources.
Candidates must have graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program and ideally possess 1-2 years of Oncology experience. An active, unrestricted CT medical license, BLS certification, and a DEA License are required.

Provide assessment, triage, and therapeutic management of patient/family needs throughout the disease process as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team. Work in collaboration with the attending supervising/collaborating physician(s) in accordance with state law and hospital regulations, hospital policy, protocols, and clinical pathways, and may provide autonomous team-based care. Obtains medical histories, performs physical examinations, reviews/orders diagnostic/therapeutic tests and radiologic results, chemotherapy prescribing, formulates and manages patient treatment plans. The APP will educate patients and families on care and available resources, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. This includes admitting instructions, treatment plans, potential side effects, and discharge plans. The APP, as part of a interdisciplinary team, provides psychosocial support to patients, their family members, and significant others in a caring, ethical, and professional manner.
EDUCATION Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or an accredited Physician Assistant Program. EXPERIENCE 1-2 years of Oncology experience preferred Active, unrestricted CT medical license or in process of obtaining BLS (as required) Certification DEA License
