The technologist performs technical duties using complex imaging equipment to produce quality Interventional Radiology images under supervision, ensuring proper setup and readiness of angiography equipment before exams. They are responsible for producing high-quality images during and after procedures, verifying physician orders, and ensuring all necessary supplies are available for efficient and safe procedures.
Candidates must have graduated from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program, holding an Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred), and possess a minimum of 9 months of experience as a Radiologic Technologist. Required licensure includes ARRT RT(R) certification, Connecticut State License, and CPR Certification, with Vascular Interventional (VI) credentials being preferred.

Under the supervision of the Interventional Radiology Manager and/or Assistant Chief Technologist, performs a wide variety of technical and professional duties utilizing complex imaging equipment to produce quality IR images as requested for subsequent interpretation by the radiologist.
