The role involves providing comprehensive care to critically ill surgical patients in the SICU, which includes performing bedside procedures like arterial line placement and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on treatment plans. The professional will also be responsible for patient assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex critical care conditions.
Candidates must be a graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program, with clinical experience preferred but new graduates are encouraged to apply. Required licensure includes active PA Certification (NCCPA) or Connecticut State Nurse Practitioner License, along with ACLS/BLS and DEA License.
