The apprentice will learn to assist with patient assessment, care, and documentation under supervision, while actively participating in the Medical Assistant Apprenticeship program curriculum requirements. Responsibilities also include triaging calls, scheduling urgent appointments, performing pre-examination procedures, and maintaining accurate patient records.
Candidates must actively participate in apprenticeship coursework and practicum sessions while maintaining performance standards, and possess excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication. Knowledge of medical office policies typically acquired through three to five years in healthcare or a similar setting is needed, with previous physician clinic experience preferred.
