The Certified Nursing Assistant works under the supervision of an RN/LPN to provide personal care to hospital patients and maintain a safe, clean environment, performing specified treatments and procedures as directed. This role requires demonstrating knowledge and skills appropriate to the age of patients served while ensuring consistent, competent, and ethical care within the scope of practice.
Candidates must possess a Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) certification from the Virginia Department of Health Professions and current CPR/BLS certification upon hire. While one year of prior experience in an acute healthcare setting is preferred, the core requirement is the ability to competently follow the plan of care and accurately complete all required documentation.
