The Medical Assistant assists in patient examinations and treatment under physician direction, handling administrative tasks like answering phones, preparing charts, and managing documentation. Key clinical duties include preparing and administering medications/immunizations, documenting vital signs, collecting specimens, and assisting with simple procedures.
Candidates must possess proof of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, an eligible Nursing Degree (ASN, BSN), or an LPN/Paramedic/EMT license from Florida, or maintain current Medical Assistant Certification. A minimum requirement is active American Heart Association BLS certification, and fluency in both English and Spanish is highly preferred.
Assists in examinations and treatment of patient's care under the direction of the physician and/or clinician. Supports patient care management by performing various administrative functions.
