The role involves providing respiratory care to patients based on physician's orders for both in-house and out-patient services. Essential functions include administering prescribed medications, performing therapeutic modalities, setting up oxygen, conducting bedside PFT tests, and participating in Code Blue and Rapid Response Teams.
Candidates must be responsible for the safe and effective administration of medically prescribed respiratory care, including knowing indications and contraindications for medications and therapeutic modalities. A requirement is to be certified in CPR procedures and manual ventilation, and to perform patient assessments to develop care plans for Registered Therapist approval.
