Staff Nurses apply nursing theory to assess, diagnose, treat, and evaluate patient responses to health and illness, while collaboratively coordinating the continuum of care across settings. Duties also include developing and implementing patient care plans, documenting interventions, and coordinating transfer/discharge planning.
Required qualifications include an Associate’s Degree, Diploma, or higher in Nursing, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, general computer skills, and a current Iowa nursing license by the date of hire. Desirable qualifications include a BSN or MSN and previous RN experience in a Psychiatric Hospital Unit.
