The Pharmacist manages drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team, reviewing and evaluating medication orders to prevent drug-related problems and providing drug information and education to staff and patients. They are also responsible for documenting interventions, maintaining hospital drug formulary, and developing pharmacy clinical protocols.
Candidates must possess a PharmD or RPh with credentials/experience to perform the Accredited Residency Program Director Role, and must be licensed to practice pharmacy in Arizona. Up-to-date training in Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support, PALS, and ALCS is required, or must be obtained within three months of hire.
