The Anesthetist responds to patient anesthetic needs across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases, coordinating care with perioperative staff under medical direction. This role involves administering anesthesia for procedures, responding to emergent airway management, and formulating/discussing the anesthetic plan with the anesthesiologist and patient.
Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in Nurse Anesthesia, or a CRNA qualification from a program accredited before December 31, 2003. Required credentials include SC RN-Advance Practice and CRNA-Nurse Anesthetist licensure, with no previous experience explicitly required.
