The Physician Assistant supports orthopaedic surgeons in operating rooms and provides direct patient care, coordinating treatment and managing preoperative and postoperative care under physician direction. Primary duties include performing comprehensive patient examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, administering therapeutic procedures, and instructing patients on care regimens.
Candidates must have completed an accredited Physician Assistant Program and possess BLS Certification, with two years of experience preferred, particularly in Orthopedic or Primary Care settings. Required competencies include strong interpersonal and organizational skills, proficiency with EMR systems and Windows office technologies, and the ability to work independently.
Position Summary/Scope of Responsibility

This Physician Assistant (PA-C) supports orthopaedic surgeons in operating rooms and provides direct patient care according to state guidelines under the direction of the supervising physician. The PA will be involved in the coordination of treatment and assists in the management of preoperative and postoperative care. In coordination with the supervising physician, the PA will develop a comprehensive plan of care, and collaborates with the care team to ensure continuity and quality care.
