Counselor

Essential job duties

• Provides individual and group therapy
• Ensures all documentation regarding patient care, treatment, and incidents is completed timely and in a clear and concise manner
• Provides crisis intervention to patients
• Assists with aftercare planning

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in social or health related Field required and 6+ years’ experience in counseling field required OR Bachelor’s degree in other field required and 8+ years’ experience in the counseling field required OR Master’s degree in social or health services field required and 4+ more years’ experience in the counseling field.
• At least two years clinical experience specifically with chemically dependent / dually diagnosed population
• Licensure or certification for counseling, as required by the state in which the facility operates.
• Completion of ongoing education and training, as required by the state in which the facility operates and applicable accrediting body.
• Crisis Prevention/De-escalation training and CPR & First Aid (offered onsite).
• Knowledge of 12-step recovery programs.
• Ability to work well with male and female adult (18+) patients with Chemical dependency and Mental Health disorders
• CPR and CPI certification (training offered onsite)
• Teamwork and excellent customer service
