The Pre-Operative/Post-Operative Registered Nurse provides peri-operative patient care, assuming total responsibility for patient care in accordance with physician's orders and center policies, including completing Pre-Op scheduling and calling. Essential functions involve supervising ancillary personnel, providing direct patient care, initiating assessments, obtaining informed consent, completing post-anesthesia records, and ensuring patients meet discharge criteria.
Candidates must be graduates of an approved school of professional nursing with current, valid state licensure, and possess a minimum of two years of experience in ICU, Emergency Room, Recovery Room, or other critical care environments. Required certifications include CPR, with the ability to achieve ACLS and PALS within 60 days of employment.
No weekends, nights, holidays, or on call!

The Pre-Operative/Post-Operative Registered Nurse, under the supervision of the PACU Manager or the Director of Nursing, according to the organizational structure, is responsible for providing peri-operative patient care in accordance with sound nursing judgment, regulatory and accreditation standards, and the facility's mission, vision, and values. The position must provide direct and indirect patient care across the age continuum; and utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation according to policies and procedures of the facility.
