The Anesthesiologist is responsible for examining patients, reviewing medical histories, determining physical status, informing patients of risks, and monitoring patient care throughout the surgical process to ensure safety. This role involves managing patients across the hospital care continuum through collaboration with other medical professionals.
Candidates must possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree along with three years of experience in anesthesiology. Required credentials include a Pennsylvania medical license, Board Certification or eligibility by the American Board of Anesthesiology, and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
The Anesthesiologist is responsible for examining patients, reviewing their medical history, determining the physical status of the patient, informing the patient of all risks/side effects associated with anesthesia, monitoring and evaluating patient care throughout the surgical process, and ensuring patient safety. The position manages patients throughout the continuum of hospital care by collaborating with other medical professionals.
